MY NEW TRAVEL E-BOOK: PURCHASE & HELP ♥

Image
I remember that in March, at the beginning of quarantine, I read about authors like William Shakespeare who wrote books such as "Macbeth" and "The King Lear" during the lockdown of the bubonic plague... So I said: "ok, so that means I can also create something, right?"... Yeah, I downloaded wattpad but nothing came to my mind, so days later I just deleted it haha. Anyways, while on April I was doing a virtual tourism and travel course something about the adventures around my country started to came to my mind, so before they disappear I opened a power point slide and started to create an american character who wanted to visit Peru and decided to get in touch with a travel advisor (yepp, that's my profession!) ☝😉 And after a lot of thinking and finally decide to work with an editor for a month, here's the cover!!  The person in the cover of the booklet is me, I decided to use pictures of some of the trips I made -that I can find as my laptop is hav...

TRAVEL TIP: SAVE MONEY AND VISIT MORE

Image
STORY TELLING TIME ♥ Sit back and relax because I have several travel stories from you from which I've learned a lot and I hope you can also extrait something good from it. Let's remember our crazy adventures together! Anyways! This week's blog post is about a travel tip that is really attractive! And I also was practicing it when I was in NYC (but the picture of above is Boston, I just found it inspiring, hehe). So, last year I spent 6 months in New Jersey, and of course I used to go a lot to Manhattan to hang out - gosh, how I love it! - but unfortunately it is not that cheap tho... The shops have a high price due to the taxes (compared to NJ), and I was working at the time, but I just couldn't spend it all once right? So, here are some "crazy" -maybe- tips I put into practice.. Let's see, Packing my lunch on a box Okayyyy, yeah I got you, that "whaaaat?", and "girl, what about eating local?", I know, I know, it's strange, everyon...

HAPPY 199 YEARS OF INDEPENDENCE, PERÚ ♥

What is the first word that comes to your mind when you hear or read about: Perú? Maybe it's Machu Picchu, llamas, ceviche, pisco, cuy? (If you thought about any of those words then... yeah, it's quite obvious because those are the most famous things there are here -but not the only ones, though).   Anyways, for me, one word comes immediately to my mind, and that is  D I V E R S I T Y . Yes, I mean, we practically have almost 100 years of diversity, and it comes from the bunch of history that we've lived. Just imagine with me the following statement; if the spaniards wouldn't have conquered our territory the inca heritage would be much more alive than ever right now, right? Well, starting with our main language that would've been quechua  and the second one spanish (and maybe it would be mandatory for foreign visitors to learn quechua expressions to be able to move around here)... But also we might've been able to come up with our own technology (like...umm...Ch...

A REASON WHY YOU MUST SEE THE "ZAC DOWN TO EARTH DOCUMENTARY"

Image
I have to be honest, when I first looked the name "Zac Efron" on a documentary on netflix, the first thing that came to my mind was that it might be a reality or a history of his life... Whoah, I had no idea how wrong I was. And actually, I do remember that in 2018 my friends brought the news about he was currently in my city (Lima, Perú) in order to do a film or so and more than figuring out what it was about, I remember hanging around Miraflores district with my friend after yoga class -you know, to see if we could have a chance of running into him outside the hotel, lol. Anyways, of course we didn't find him, and so after that day we got over it. Now, two years later when I was searching for something to watch on netflix I looked into it and found different places of the world, and between them... Boom, Lima and Iquitos! I was literally so surprised, because I don't know if this happens to other people but when I see that my country is mentioned in a foreign tv sho...

THE NEXT BIG THING IN TOURISM 😮🙆✈🙌

You might be familiar with the famous term mindfulness , right? The state of being present, to be aware of what you have surrounding yourself now. Maybe, if you're eating in the dining room you might feel the chair material on your legs and back, the coldness of the table in your arms -I mean if you have a glass table- and then the food flavor, its hotness, spiciness and others. That's it, you're practicing mindfulness as you are conscious about feeling and living in the now. Quick story: I met two swiss travelers - Markus and Corinne - back in February and I decided to show them around the Historic Center of Lima as they were so interested about it. So, when we entered to Casa de la Literatura (the literature's house) there were old things like ticketing booths that are preserved since the 19th century as the house used to be an old railway station.  Anyways, I was explaining some history to Corinne and to feel really into it and go back in time we approach...

WILL TRAVEL ADVISORS EVER RUN THE WORLD?

Image
Some weeks ago I looked into a post about  the difference between a travel advisor and a travel agent  on Forbes Magazine. And so far, since I decided to develop myself in becoming a Travel Advisor to create trips within Peru and then around the world, I've seen that the term and the number of people related to it are not so famous and high. Instead there are thousands of travel agents around the world, though. And the truth is that the pictures you see online when you search for the terms "travel advisor" or "travel agent" are the same, so it means that the difference is not that big, but it is actually significant. So, after reading posts and watching videos about the profession, I came with my own perceptions and conclusions about the difference -please note that I'll be highlighting more the role of the travel advisor / also called consultant  as it is my profession and (for me) it is more dedicated-, Oh, and by the way, this is about my experience as be...

SPEAK SPANISH ON YOUR NEXT TRAVEL TO PERU: CHALLENGE ACCEPTED?

Image
Ahhh, español...  One of the most popular languages in the world -having 460 million native speakers - just right after mandarin chinese, which makes it really important.. But it's just so confusing some times! ugh! ... Yeah, I got you. I mean, I totally understand you. Even if I've been speaking spanish my whole life, I seriously get confused many times with the conjugations of the verbs: yo quiero, tu quieres, el quiere, nosotros queremos, ustedes quieren.. woahh. And don't get me start with the "R" sound -really, I was born with a condition that stops me from being able to make the "rrrrrrrr" sound, but happily now at least I can pronounce well words with in-between R's. But no matter how tricky it can be for both spanish speakers and non-speakers, it is not impossible to learn, and contrary to the image above, IT DOES HAVE A LOT OF SENSE :)) . In fact, to make it interesting,   let's see it as a challenge, I mean, wouldn't you want to tra...
