THE NEXT BIG THING IN TOURISM ๐Ÿ˜ฎ๐Ÿ™†✈๐Ÿ™Œ

You might be familiar with the famous term mindfulness, right? The state of being present, to be aware of what you have surrounding yourself now. Maybe, if you're eating in the dining room you might feel the chair material on your legs and back, the coldness of the table in your arms -I mean if you have a glass table- and then the food flavor, its hotness, spiciness and others.
That's it, you're practicing mindfulness as you are conscious about feeling and living in the now.

Quick story: I met two swiss travelers - Markus and Corinne - back in February and I decided to show them around the Historic Center of Lima as they were so interested about it. So, when we entered to Casa de la Literatura (the literature's house) there were old things like ticketing booths that are preserved since the 19th century as the house used to be an old railway station. 
Anyways, I was explaining some history to Corinne and to feel really into it and go back in time we approached and look to what was inside and how the people before came here and purchase the tickets, and some time in between Markus took this picture. 

We didn't actually put a lot of attention in the pictures, just in hanging around, be immersed in the culture, know each other and having fun.

AND I THINK THAT IS THE MAIN PURPOSE OF THE MINDFUL TRAVEL

Maybe, as mindful travel comes from mindfulness and mindfulness is related to yoga, you might imagine a retreat up in the mountains, or anywhere in the nature... Eating healthy foods.... etc. But, it's not always about this, I mean, the concept goes beyond.

Mindful travel works to achieve the real essence of tourism: MAKE PEOPLE HAPPIER AS WELL AS ESTABLISH PEACE WITHIN THE SOCIETY.

That's why I want to share with you some of the principles I've reading about this future form of travel:

□ Traveling in medium-low seasons,
    So you will have much more opportunities to connect, explore at your
    own pace, without being stopped by huge crowds.

□ We search for a transformative experience,
    Not only relaxing, having fun, connecting, but also learning

□ Reset,
    Fully enjoy your time and not worry about external factors that can cause 
    travel stress or worry.

□ Disconnect
    I know that it might be SO hard to leave our phones at the room or go to
    places without phone service, but at least turning on the airplane mode,
    it will make us more focused on the environment besides saving battery!

□ Experiment,
    Get out of your comfort zone and get quite lost... Discover new amazing
    gems that had been hidden because everybody wants to see what others
    are seeing and trying to get the perfect insta shot.

□ Take a breath and keep going
    Let your travel advisor to do the planning, the job and just sit back and          enjoy the ride. There are a lot of things that we can't control but still kind 
    of affect us, why? Every thing that comes without advice will eventually
    go away. ✌


So that's it, let's change the traditional concept of traveling by a much better one. Let's be travelers who care and search for a win - win ♡
