TRAVEL AFTER CORONAVIRUS

It's important to always stay in touch informed about this current context and the effects that it will have on each one's work industries, so as we were looking at news about how different countries are setting plans to reopen and allow tourism activitities to be progresively developed again, we're seeing a lot about the following measures that would be prioritized, such as:

  • Extra sanitizing procedures at hotels, restaurants and air/road transportation.
  • Social distancing
  • Making travel corridors between countries
  • Developing tech tools like the QR codes of chinese citizens

This of course says that the future traveler's behavior is going to change a lot, however it's not about becoming obssesed about cleaning or health but to be more mindful instead, which means being more conscious about every single thing we touch and making sure not to be touching our face or other people's hands that often.

This also leads us to rethink the time that we spend outdoors. We find ourselves stuck at home now doing not so much rather than excessively using our phones chatting, making some tik tok videos, listening to music, chlling with netflix, working from home or cooking, and sometimes we tend to be anxious and posting or reposting things about "after this lockdown let's have a big party" or "what i'll do after the quarentine ends", I mean, craving for going out, but remember when we were able to be out freely before, there were so many people still attached to their phones ignoring what happened around them and not enjoying the pleasure of little things such as breathing the air or feeling the grass at the parks.
Besides this, we were also more focused about recording all experiences in our phones in order to post them later on social media rather than actually living them.

Just look at the example this old lady is setting.

So, maybe this situation was also some kind of a lesson for us, it is making us to miss the earth but also it needed a break to be healed. There are many people that have gotten conscious about this recently, but we hope that there could be a 90% by the end that will be actually willing to change their habits for much responsible ones, including especially traveling.

Staying closer to home could be a catalyst awakening us to the value of eating locally, traveling less, slowing down and connecting to our community.          - University of Queensland

There are many speculations that talk about that once we all will be allowed to finally go outside it would be just like this, everyone going everywhere like crazy. And this is a concern if we don't control us because it can lead to a new outbreak.

So as nothing will return to what it was like before after this pandemic, this is a great opportunity to become more human-kind
