LET YOUR VACATIONS BE REAL VACATIONS
Which, seems like a paradox as going on a trip really should be something, besides of enjoyable, relaxing so you can go back to your daily tasks with a fresh mind and attitude. But why sometimes it's just not like this and gives us the opposite effect?
va . ca . tion1. an extended period of leisure and recreation, especially one spent away from home or in traveling.
We live in an instagrammed world that the true meaning of vacation is sometimes forgotten. As I was reading earlier once we notice that we're visiting certain place, we start looking at what can we do, see and visit there, but what causes the most curiosity and attraction to us are those wonderful world-famous sites that in just a matter of time were spreaded all over the internet and both travelers and influencers started to book fastly their tickets so it will get large masses of people trying to take the perfect shot to post on instagram, pinterest, facebook as a way to say "Look! I did it!", but at the same time, this often is getting more importance rather than staying, observing, feeling and learning in situ about who build it, who discovered it, what happened there or any other really important fact.
Photos can wait and will remain in your social media profile as long as you let it stay (forever), but the actual moment will pass fast and you won't be able to carry great memories if you haven't lived it at the fullest.
So, because of this, we tend to spend as many days as possible in just one place, instead of stepping out of our confort zones and go discover other places. We want to squeeze a single place and even our energy by sacrificing sleeping hours and, at the end, following a specific routine... Just as we already are doing in our homes.
Let me tell you three things that will change for the better your perception about vacationing.

FIRST OF ALL, A VACATION NEEDS TO RECHARGE YOUR ENERGIES
- YOU DON'T HAVE TO SET AN ALARM EARY IN THE MORNING.
Get as much sleeping as you want or need, this is finally your time off, no mails, no business
calls, no meetings, no pressures to arrive on time... If you want to just stay on pj's at the hotel,
that's totally fine! - YOU DON'T HAVE TO FOLLOW A ROUTINE.
Because you're already following one back home, right? Waking up, get dressed, eat breakfast, go to work, eat lunch within a period of time, going back home (if not to an after-office), sleeping and repeating next day. Instead, you should be free to explore unknown streets, get a little bit lost (using technology of course), try local meals, sleep at rural houses. Be the master of your own time. - YOU DON'T HAVE TO END UP NEEDING MORE TIME TO REST BACK HOME
Of course, it's good that you arrive home at least one day before you go to work again (the more days the better) so you can unpack, download the pictures and videos you take so your memory cards will also rest and check some final touches or updates in your bussiness.
At the end, your body will be well-rested and you'll also be so happy because you got to enjoy half of the most famous places but also discovered hidden gems.
Life is about balance.
Plus, it is also a great thing to not visit everything you want or must all in one trip so you can leave something mysterious (and it also serves as a motivator) for your next visit!
Let's slow down and make the most of our vacation times.
